Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information RacketBuilds collects, why, and the choices you have. We aim to follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Philippines.
1. What we collect
- If you create an account: your email address, a username, your password (stored only as a salted hash, never in readable form) and the date you registered.
- Optional profile details you choose to add: full name, role (player, coach or organizer), profile photo, country, club, ranking or rating, birth year, gender and phone number. Every one of these is optional and you can edit or remove them at any time in Profile settings. Your email and password cannot be changed there.
- Your saved racket setups, equipment bag and wishlist.
- Cookies: a login cookie (
pc_session, up to 14 days) and a security cookie (pc_csrf) that protects forms from forgery. Both are strictly necessary. - On your device: your compare selection is kept in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
- Free tools: the Game Counter and Tournament Generator keep your match and roster in your browser's local storage only. If you switch on live sharing in the Game Counter, the player names, flags and score are held in our server's memory for up to 12 hours so spectators can follow along, then discarded. No account is needed.
- Contact form: the name, email and message you send are stored so we can reply, and are deleted on request.
- Events: if you are an organizer and post an event, its details (title, date, venue, description, links, image link) and your username and club are visible to other signed-in members. You can edit or delete your posts at any time, and they are removed if you delete your account.
- Server logs: our hosting may record technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell your information.
2. Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you logged in.
- To prevent abuse, such as repeated failed logins.
- To show your profile and saved items back to you in your dashboard.
- To respond to messages you send us.
Your profile details and photo are private to your account. They are not shown to other members or to the public, and we do not use them for advertising. If we ever add public profiles, they will be opt-in and this policy will be updated first.
3. Third parties
The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives your IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy. Our hosting provider also processes the data above on our behalf. We do not share account details with anyone else except where required by law.
4. How long we keep it
Account data is kept until you delete your account. When you delete it from the Account page, your account record, profile details, profile photo, saved setups, bag and wishlist are removed from our database. Copies in routine backups, if any, expire on the backup schedule. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security.
5. Security
Passwords are hashed with scrypt, sessions are signed, forms are protected against cross-site request forgery, and login attempts are rate limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
6. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access and correct your data, to object, to request erasure or blocking, to data portability, and to be indemnified for damages from unlawful processing. You can delete your account yourself on the Account page, or email us for anything else. You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
7. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
